2010 Portfolio Day Was Funded By The Student Art Fund

Thirty students from three local high schools were taken by Mrs. Claire d’Anthes, Dos Pueblos art teacher, to Portfolio Day at Art Center School of Design in Pasadena, January 10, 2010.

The Student Art Fund, who sponsored the bus, wanted students to have the opportunity to have their work evaluated professionally by admissions personnel from the more than forty art schools gathered there that one day.

There were frustratingly long lines and waits, but valuable critique and counseling was provided students who were seriously considering a career in an art field. This was also the first time many of the thousand or so high school art students from Southern California who attended Portfolio Day were able to tour an art school campus.
