Student Art Fund 2023 Grandparent Portrait Show

Thank you for submitting your students’ work to be considered for this show.
DEADLINE: TUESDAY, MARCH 7, 2023. You may submit entries any time until the deadline.
Eligibility: Artwork produced by a public high school student of Carpinteria, Goleta or Santa Barbara during the 2022-2023 school year.
Portrait Requirements for Students: Create a portrait in any media of a grandparent or personally-known beloved elder (no beloved celebrities).
Awards: At least 12 awards will be sponsored—$150 for the student and $50 for the teacher.
There will be a Best of Show $450 award. The winner’s teacher will receive $50.
TEACHER DIRECTIONS:
1. Students may or may not be enrolled in an art class, but must be presently enrolled in the school.
2. All artwork submitted will be displayed and archived on the SAF website with names of students, schools, grade levels and teachers. Awards will be noted.
3. In submitting an entry, the teacher affirms that the entry is the sole original work of the student.
SUBMISSION OF ENTRIES:
1. Please use the form below to submit your entries. Please upload a small snapshot of the artwork for identification purposes only (a photo taken with a mobile phone is fine). The file name for the photo should include the student’s last name, first initial, and GPS2023. Example: Rodriguez_S_GPS2023.jpg. Professional photos will be taken of artwork selected for the exhibition.

2. The Student Art Fund assumes that teachers have received parental/guardian consent to display each student’s work and the student’s name on our website and for local media publicity.
3. To be considered for this online show, entries must be submitted by March 7, 2023.
